Efrain Ramirez-Ventura, 31, was arrested on Black Friday afternoon at Olympia’s Capital Mall after he allegedly used two iPhones to record women in changing rooms at Forever 21. One of the incidents involved a 12-year-old girl.
A store employee discovered an iPhone in a shoe inside one of the changing rooms, pointing up into the neighboring stall. A woman and her 12-year-old daughter were in the second changing room trying on clothes. The employee reported this to police, who arrested the suspect and confiscated two iPhones.
When police searched the phones, they found more than 80 videos filmed in dressing rooms. He originally denied allegations, saying that he was taking photos of himself in the changing room. He eventually told police that he had been recording women in dressing rooms for “a while.” “I’m a guy, man, so this kind of stuff happens,” the suspect said, according to court documents.
