OLYMPIA – Four suspects, wearing “Halloween-type” masks were arrested on Monday morning after they allegedly burglarized two NE Olympia businesses, according to the Sheriff’s office.
Deputies were dispatched to the South Bay Grocery for a report of a burglary alarm. When deputies arrived, they found the front door shattered but no suspects were located. Deputies watched surveillance video but could not locate the suspects.
A short time later, a similar call was received from the Gull Harbor Mercantile on Boston Harbor Road, and found a window broken. This time, the suspects weren’t lucky enough to get away.
A neighbor had seen the 4 suspects jump into a Toyota 4-runner wearing masks. When police pulled over a 4-runner a few blocks away and found 4 subjects who were wearing masks, they had been caught red-handed.
The 4 subjects were booked into the Thurston County Jail on suspicion of two counts of first-degree burglary.
