Man wanted by Sheriff’s office after leading high-speed pursuit

37-year old Brent Josie is still at large after he evaded Thurston County Sheriff’s deputies and Olympia, Tumwater, and Evergreen College Police Departments in a pursuit in NW Olympia on Saturday night.

Josie is wanted for residential burglary and now felony eluding. At 10:00 pm, he was spotted driving on Overhulse Rd NW at freeway speeds. He crashed into a tree in the 200 block of Overhulse Rd NW and took off on foot.

This time, a K-9 track was unsuccessful. Around 10:50 pm, a woman showed up on scene and explained to deputies that she had given Josie a ride to the Black Lake Grocery, not knowing that he was wanted by law enforcement.

Josie is still on the run, and is wanted by the Sheriff’s Department. Anyone with information should call Detective King at 360-786-5517.
