Crews fighting 25-acre wildfire involving structures in Rochester

UPDATE: As of 6:30 pm, the fire is no longer spreading, and crews are putting out hot pots. It sounds like it is about 25 acres in size. Two outbuildings and a garage have been lost. The evacuation notices have been lifted.

Fire crews from Thurston, Grays Harbor, and Lewis counties are currently fighting what started has a brush fire but has since spread to structures.

It’s burning in the area of Tea Street, 201st Ave, and Grand Mound Way.

West Thurston Fire reports that it is burning homes and families are being evacuated, and is asking the public to avoid the area.
