A 3.3-acre wildfire burned today along US Hwy 12 in Thurston County, near the intersection of Hwy 12 and Roseburg St in Rochester.
As of approximately 9:00 pm, the fire had been knocked down, per the Department of Natural Resources.
Fire Districts from Thurston & Lewis counties responded, along with the DNR. The fire was originally dispatched around 5:00 pm.
Reports of an outbuilding were immediately lost and more fire crews and equipment were either on-scene or en route. DNR stated they sent two crews. One helicopter and four engines were already on-scene from area Thurston County Fire Departments.
No injuries were reported.
