TUMWATER, WA – Washington State Patrol troopers initiated a pursuit early Saturday morning on I-5 near Henderson Boulevard in Olympia just before 2:00 am, according to our scanner-listening crew.
The green Honda Civic reached triple digit speeds as it ran southbound on I-5, exiting at Trosper Road. The vehicle crashed near Trosper and 49th Avenue, and 3 subjects bailed on foot.
The subjects ran northwest through Bonneville Power Administration property, and through a backyard on Bush Mountain Drive.
They then ran up RW Johnson Boulevard, and were eventually apprehended on Somerset Hill Drive after they tried to escape in a taxi around 3:45 am.
Washington State Patrol, Thurston County Sheriff, and Olympia, Lacey, and Tumwater Police Departments all responded to the call.
